Senior, Cassie Reece, has made a great impact at the school and has her eyes set on a career as a lawyer. She has taken a great number of AP classes this year and in previous years and hopes to make use of them in her future. Currently, she is taking AP English Language, AP Psychology, AP Pre-Calculus, and AP United States History. Each advanced placement class is helping her shape her goals to one day become a lawyer. “AP Lang will help me because as a lawyer I will need to know how to write well and in a professional tone. APUSH will help me because in APUSH I learn the "why" behind many of the policies we have and how our nation came to be… AP Lit helped me because it allowed me to read both informational and fictional literature through an analytical lens, which will help me when I'm reviewing witness statements or reading about the different ways a part of the Constitution could be applied to my particular case,” said Reece. After high school she plans to go to college to earn her political science major, with the hope of pursuing her law degree thereafter. “The structure and formation of our government are fundamental to the way that society functions as a whole. Without an organized, responsible government it's difficult for society to continue to develop. I enjoy learning about the government, and learning why certain policies were created is incredibly interesting to me. I think the government has the potential to either help many people or hurt many people. It's a dangerous balance, and one that if off balance, has the potential to cause serious harm to millions of people,” said Reece.

Other than her love for school, Cassie Reece finds the most important thing in her life to be her faith. Her faith makes her who she is today. Every day she wants to get closer to God and continue on her path to become a better person. Another thing that is important to her is her love for the community. “I find value in helping the underprivileged, and by helping others, I know I am continuing to better myself. Through Kids' Food Basket, I have met many amazing people, who have taught me quite a lot about our community, and the work Kids' Food Basket does, but also about myself,” said Reece.

She inspires students to be themselves and find something that makes them genuinely happy. Throughout her time at the school she says that the memories she made with the people she cared most about are the moments that she holds closest to her. “Everybody talks about high school like you have to do all the cliche high school events, and while I went to most of these, my favorite memories from high school are the times when I was simply with the people I care about. So find your people, and don't let them go, they are the people who are going to get you through the rest of your life!” Reece said.
