Crumbl Cookies makes its debut in Grandville

Crumbl Cookies is making an appearance not too far from Hudsonville. Crumbl Cookies is a bakery with over 800+ locations in the United States.  The cookies are baked fresh every single day, at every location. They come in unique tasty flavors like Cookies and Cream, Caramel Apple, or Cheesecake, and many more. They operate a rotating flavor menu of over 250 flavors with five or six flavors featured each week. Crumbl stores are generally walk-in and walk-out, but they can also be ordered online and picked up or delivered to houses. They give the option to get just one cookie, but they also have boxes of four, six, and 12.

Cumbl was founded in 2017 and started as a family-owned business. It was co-founded by USU (Utah State University) alumnus Sawyer Hemsley, and his cousin, Jason McGowan. It started as a quest to make and sell the perfect chocolate chip cookie. From testing every individual ingredient and learning the science of baking, it turned into the pair investing unlimited time into the journey.

The company has experienced rapid franchising, which has been attributed to social media. The company’s following on TikTok has reached over 1.6 million within six weeks in February 2021. They have over seven million followers on Instagram and TikTok combined. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Crumbl Cookies expanded to over 100 locations by August 2020 and 149 locations across the United States by July 2021. By the end of 2021 they grew even more tremendously, and by 2022 even more, and is now left with a whopping 800+ stores all across the Country.

The nearest Crumbl Cookies from the school at the moment is in Holland, nearly 30 minutes away. Tjader Gerdom and Michael Murphy of Gerdom Realty and Investment represented Cumbl Cookies at the signing of the chain’s new Grandville, Michigan, location. Crumbl will take 2,721 square feet at the Century Center retail center at the southwest corner of Ivanrest Avenue SW and Rivertown Parkway. These tasty, flavor-rotating cookies absolutely leave people wanting to come back for more.
