Alayna Walbridge is breaking barriers and shattering stereotypes as the only girl in the Career Line Tech Center auto mechanics program. In a field traditionally dominated by men, Walbridges passion for cars has driven her to excel and prove that gender is no barrier for success.

This early exposure sparked a lifelong interest that led her to enroll in the auto mechanics program at tech.
Despite being the only girl in her class, Walbridge’s determination and skill have earned her the respect and admiration from her peers. “At first I was nervous about being the only girl,” she admits, “But once I started working on the cars and showing what I could do, I gained confidence and the support of my classmates.”
Walbridge’s time at the career line tech center has not been without challenges. She faced skepticism of her abilities and knowledge. However, she used these obstacles as motivation to work even harder. Her dedication has definitely paid off, as she is at the top of her class.
Alayna hopes to inspire young women to pursue careers in fields they are passionate about, regardless of gender norms, “ If you love something, go for it,” states Walbridge. Alayna Walbridge is more than just a student ; she is a trailblazer, paving the way for future generations of women.
