Zac Davidson is a 15-year-old aspiring musician. Born in Jackson Michigan, but raised in Portage. Although he may be seemingly unremarkable and sloth-like in appearance, Zac in reality is exceptionally talented.

Zac has had a rough past, colored by trauma. He spent his formative years experiencing more emotional damage than most will in a lifetime. As a way of coping, he turned to music. His introduction to the world of music came in the form of his Dad’s old, dusty vinyl collection. Thanks to his dad he's been surrounded by music his whole life. Zac being more inclined toward older rock artists. Albums like the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds, Steely Dan's Aja, and Ben Folds Five's Whatever and Ever Amen have had an especially monumental impact on Zac as a musician.

At three years old, young Zac was already drumming, though it wouldn’t be until he was six that he got his first drum kit. At eight years old he picked up piano, and at ten he and his dad discovered that he had perfect pitch. He taught himself each instrument in turn and has since then worked tirelessly to hone his ability.

By the time Zac was eleven he had begun his journey as an aspiring musician. Writing music is his method of processing what he’s feeling. Whether it be pain, joy, or despair, he writes about it all. “ My process usually begins on piano, moves to recording MIDI demos on Logic Pro (a digital audio workspace), and then ends with lyrics and melody.” He considers his genre to be somewhat of a jazz/rock fusion.

His connection to music runs deeper than words or notes on a piece of paper. He processes it on a spiritual level and plans on pursuing it professionally. His inspiration comes largely from Brian Wilson, lead singer and producer of the Beach Boys. Who perfectly encompasses all that Zac strives to be.

He views himself as more of a collaborative artist than soloist and is currently in search of a band. As it stands Zac has two albums worth of solo-work.
